Dear Miss Lonely Heart,
I've been engaged to the same man for NINE years. He keeps telling me he JUMPS me. But we need to wait to get WALKED until he makes more (PLURAL NOUN THAT I FORGOT TO ASK YOU ABOUT). If we get married now, we will have to SLEEP with my mother and eat FROGS everyday. But isn't ENTRANCED love worth that?
(I don't know, is it?) Should I put my NOSE down and set a date, or just continue to be SMELLY?
Signed,
KATE ANDERSON
Dear Young Lady,
Don't do anything SILLY. Something worth WHIPPING is worth SKIING for (worth skiing for). And I don't think eating DEVILED EGGS with the man you LAUGH with is very bad at all. But eating DEVILED EGGS and living SEVEN miles away from your mother is much better.
Signed,
Miss Lonely Heart
(They're not my words... you helped me do it)

I heard there was a secret chord
that David played, and it pleased the Lord
But you don't really care for music, do you?
It goes like this
The fourth, the fifth
The minor fall, and the major lift
The baffled king composing Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Your faith was strong but you needed proof
You saw her bathing on the roof
Her beauty and the moonlight overthrew ya
And she tied you to a kitchen chair
She broke your throne, and she cut your hair
And from your lips she drew the Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Oh well, baby, I've been here before
And I've seen this room, and I've walked this floor
You know, I used to live alone before I knew ya.
And I've seen your flag on the marble arch
And love is not a victory march
It's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
There was a time you let me know
What's really going on below
But now you never show it to me, do ya?
Remember when I moved in with you
And the holy ghost was moving too
That every breath we drew was Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah
Hallelujah, Hallelujah

We woke up underneath
a sky that gaped showing its teeth
And I felt you had slept until
the dawn released its eyelids
And if you feel your heart's not there
I will untangle your sun-kissed hair
Remove your shirt from your skin
And pray a prayer that frees from sin
And hold me close; I'm feeling scared
All of this leaves me quite unprepared
Whatever's ahead, I leave the thought behind
I cannot worry about that which hides
I can search my soul to the end
And with whatever arrives, I'll try to befriend
And some friends leave, and I'm one of them
I hope you can find my hand in the sand
Heat it up and look through the glass
You'll see me standing, holding your hand
